ODAPCA Survey #1

The purpose of this survey is to research what factors affect test scores. ODAPCA wants this information to help increase the pass rate for candidates. We cannot do anything about the content of the test, or how it is given, or how the scores are computed. In the spirit of promoting increase of the scores of candidates now and in the future, please give your information without any identifying information or cues to location or persons. If you are licensed, give answers about how it was for you taking and passing the test, whenever that was. If you are a supervisor, answer how it was for you being supervised.

Question 1
If you have passed the test, what in your opinion helped you to pass the test? If you have not passed the test, what in your opinion is most valuable in helping you to pass? Identify and give the ones you choose a score between 1 and 10, if 1 is the least help and 10 is the most help. If it does not apply, give a 0:

Even if you passed the test the first time, what in your opinion was the greatest barrier to you passing the test? Identify and give the ones you choose a score between 1 and 10, if 1 is the smallest barrier and 10 is the greatest barrier:
Example; supervisor, colleagues, friends, teachers,please identify role only-not the name of the person

If you tested more than once, (failed the test and then tested again), what information/feedback helped you improve your score; or what information or motivational factors influenced your next score in either direction?

On a scale of 1-10, where 10 is the most or greatest, how much effect did any of the following factors play in your score on the test, any of the times you took it. Put the scale score in the box, and a plus for positive, or a - for negative on the line following the factor

Thank you for taking the time to complete our survey. We intend for this process to be an ongoing one that continues to suggest ways for preparation that gets positive results for our candidates and helps us improve the field. We will be periodically surveying the field, so it may be that you will fill this out again, and if you do, perhaps you will have new insight and suggestions to help your colleagues.
